I love the idea of inspiring and empowering young girls by showcasing their capabilities into a field that I am passionate about. There needs to be an increase in women in Computer Science. I hope that by showing these young girls what they can be capable of will inspire them and others to be innovative and go into an unconventional field for women.

I am a Computer Science and Business Administration major in the Viterbi School of Engineering at the University of Southern California. When I was in middle school, I never thought that I would be capable of creating modern applications that people use everyday. Every project that I have worked on, as well as all the amazing people I have met in this field, continues to inspire me to endure persisting towards this degree and to develop new innovating programs that can help change the world one day. It is definitely a struggle being one of the few females in my computer science classes, but it is encouraging knowing all of the effort that is being put towards increasing the percentage of women in the computer science field. Fight On!
